Console (Linux):
To confirm and verify the Cisco IOS version enter the following CLI commands
o switch> enable
o switch# sho configuration
The configuration option may show “Version 17.1”. This is representative only as your system may
have a different Cisco IOS.

To confirm and verify the IOS file name and version
o switch> enable
o switch# sho boot
The boot option will list the complete file name including embedded version
