config time_zone
Purpose Used to determine the time zone used in order to adjust the system clock.
Syntax
config time_zone {operator [+ | -] | hour <gmt_hour 0-13> | min
<minute 0-59>}
Description This will adjust system clock settings according to the time zone. Time
zone settings will adjust SNTP information accordingly.
Parameters operator – Choose to add (+) or subtract (-) time to adjust for time zone
relative to GMT.
hour – Select the number of hours different from GMT.
min – Select the number of minutes difference added or subtracted to
adjust the time zone.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure time zone settings:
DES-3550:4#config time_zone operator + hour 2 min 30
Command: config time_zone operator + hour 2 min 30
Success.

config dst
Purpose
Used to enable and configure time adjustments to allow for the use of Daylight Savings Time
(DST).
Syntax
config dst [disable | repeating {s_week <start_week 1-4,last> | s_day <start_day sun-sat>

Description
DST can be enabled and configured using this command. When enabled this will adjust the
system clock to comply with any DST requirement. DST adjustment effects system time for both
manually configured time and time set using SNTP service.
Parameters
disable - Disable the DST seasonal time adjustment for the Switch.
repeating - Using repeating mode will enable DST seasonal time adjustment. Repeating mode
requires that the DST beginning and ending date be specified using a formula. For example,
specify to begin DST on Saturday during the second week of April and end DST on Sunday
during the last week of October.
