REPLACING THE FUEL FILTER
1.Replacethefuelltercartridgeevery
400 hours.
2.
Apply a thin layer of fuel oil on the
gasket. Install and hand-tighten.
To avoid accidents:
After stopping the engine,
check the fuel pipe and re-
place it if necessary. A dam-
aged pipe can cause a re.

If the fuel pipe is disconnect-
ed, plug it with clean rag or
paper to keep foreign materi-
als out of it. If foreign material
enters the pipe, it can lead to
malfunction of the injection
pump.

CAUTION
(1) Fuel Filter
1. Make sure to bleed the fuel system
after adding fuel to the completely
empty fuel tank, draining water
from
thefuellterorreplacingthe
fuellter.
2. To bleed the system, unscrew the
bleeding bolt on top of the fuel
lter and press the priming pump
repeatedly until fuel in the fuel tank
isdeliveredtothefuellter.
3.Whenfuelowsoutfromthebleed-
ing bolt, tighten the bleeding bolt.

Replacing the fuel filter peri-
odically will significantly re-
duce injection pump and fuel
injector wear.
