KIOTI supplies two types of the dou-
ble acting valves by region: self-re-
turn type and detent type.
For the self-return type double act-
ing lever, it returns to its original
position to block the hydraulic u-
id when it is pushed/pulled and
then released. However, this type
of double acting valve lever should
be pulled or pushed continuously
for operation which is suitable for
an implement with a short operat-
ing time, such as the hydraulic cyl-
inder.
For the detent type double act-
ing valve lever, it keeps its posi-
tion after it is pulled or pushed to
a certain position. Therefore, it is
not necessary to hold the lever to
a certain position which is suitable
for an implement with a long oper-
ating time, such as the hydraulic
motor.
Put the detent valve operat-
ing lever into the neutral po-
sition when the hydraulic im-
plement is not in use. If the de-
tent valve is kept in the oper-
ating position for an extended
period of time, the relief valve
is kept open and the tempera-
ture of the hydraulic fluid ris-
es, leading to damage of var-
ious hydraulic parts, such as
the oil seals and O-rings.

in o peratio n, unne c essary
load is applied to the engine.
Therefore, the engine pow-
er decreases signicantly, and
noise and vibration by opening
of the relief valve increase.
It is hard to start the engine
while the detent valve is in op-
eration. This is especially true
in winter and exhaust gas in-
creases even after the engine
is started.
IMPORTANT
This tractor is equipped with the re-
mote control valve of the double act-
ing type. However, this valve can
also be used in the single acting type
hydraulic cylinder.
1. Connect one end of the hydraulic
port to the single acting cylinder as
shown in the gure. The hydrau-
lic pressure is properly supplied to
the cylinder. However, when the
hydraulic pressure is released, the
cylinder is contracted only if there
is outer force, such as potential
energy.
