1. Loosen breather cap on hydraulic
reservoir. (See Figure 13 on page 4-13).
2. Clean filter cover (2, Figure 67) and
reservoir around cover.
3. Remove bolts (1, Figure 67) from cover
(2).
4. Lift cover (2, Figure 67) and O-ring (4) off
reservoir. Control spring (3) that sits
beneath cover. Remove spring (3).
5. Remove valve (5, Figure 67) and filter (6)
from reservoir.
6. Clean underside of cover (2, Figure 67).
7. Set a new element (6, Figure 67) and
valve (5) down into reservoir. Press
element down onto its base until top of
element is approximately 4 mm (0.157")
below edge of reservoir.
8. Install a new O-ring (4, Figure 67) on cover
(2). Set spring (3) into place on element
(6).
9. Set cover (2, Figure 67) into place over
element (6). Install bolts (1) through cover
(2) and tighten them.
10. Tighten breather cap on reservoir.
CLEAN EXTERIOR OF RADIATOR, OIL
COOLER AND AIR CONDITIONER
CONDENSER
1. Dust and dirt accumulation on fins of
radiator, oil cooler, additional transmission
cooler and air conditioner condenser
greatly reduce their cooling efficiency. Use
compressed air, water and steam to clean
fins on radiator, oil cooler, and
transmission cooler.
NOTE: On an especially dusty work
site, clean fins every 50 hours.
On other work sites, clean fins
every 500 hours.
