To troubleshoot a Dane Technologies Mobility Aid WheelChair Mover hitch that isn't working, first ensure the handle moves smoothly through its full range and cannot be pulled up without releasing the latch. Check that the latch release also moves smoothly. Set the hitch handle halfway down and confirm that the hitch sliding bars cannot be pushed in. Inspect the jaws to ensure they are not loose on the sliding bars and are free from damage. If these checks pass and the hitch still doesn't work, it may require professional attention.
