Troubleshooting
Warning:
If any of the following tests are failed, turn off the
WheelChair Mover, tag the machine "DO NOT
USE" and call Dane Technologies at our toll-free
service line: 888-544-7779.
Operator checks
WheelChair Mover will not move:
1) Check that the AC cord is not plugged into an outlet.
2) Check that the Red Service Maintenance Key is in the horizontal “ON position.”
3) Check that gearbox release lever is engaged.
4) Turn the “O/I” (on/off) switch on and check the Controller Status LED for codes.
There are four conditions indicated by this LED
Off: No power to the controller.
On: Power to the controller, operation normal.
Flashing slow, steadily: Functioning normally, but battery is low and should be
recharged as soon as possible.
Flashing slow, in a sequence: Problems with the controller are indicated by a
sequence of flashes. For example, a drive motor short, code 3 steady,
appears as: *** *** *** ***

Recharge battery. If continues after charging, check
connections to battery.

Bad motor, Loose/broken connection to motor, DC
motor controller

Drive motor error code
Motor has short circuit to battery connection.
6 steady
Machine inhibited
Charger plugged in
7 steady
Throttle error code
Make sure throttle is in center position when
machine turned on.
8 steady
Controller error code
Bad controller or connections to controller
9 steady
EM-brake error code
Brake shorted to case, Missing/open brake,
Loose/broken connection to brake, DC motor
controller
10 steady
Over-voltage to controller
Check battery connections.
