WheelChair Mover Care and Maintenance
You will get years of dependable operation if you follow the suggested maintenance
schedule. For operations questions, 8AM-6PM EST Monday-Friday, call the WheelChair
Mover Service Line at 888-544-7779 or contact your local service representative.
Please reference your serial number when calling.
Check the WheelChair Mover daily for safe operation.
Routine maintenance should only be performed by those permitted by federal and state
regulations. Repairs should only be completed by a qualified facility maintenance
technician or a Dane Technologies authorized service technician. A Service Manual is
available for qualified service technicians.
Batteries: Recharge to a full charge after each day's usage.
Storage: Store in a dry environment, avoid temperature extremes.
Throttle Control: (Acceleration and braking) Check for proper operation every time the
WheelChair Mover is operated. See Operating the WheelChair Mover (page 25).
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Keep your WheelChair Mover Shining. Minimum maintenance is required to increase
your service ease and dependability. Wipe clean with mild household cleaner and a
damp cloth.
Maintain battery charge. When not in use, turn the
WheelChair Mover off to prevent battery drainage.
Charge overnight, every night. Extended
charging will not damage the batteries.
Check jaws and hitch mechanism for unsafe wear,
proper extension and safe connection.
Clean rubber, plastic and metal with a mild
surface cleaner.
Check all bolts, fasteners and connections for
tightness and wear.
Check caster wheel bearings for roughness during
rotation. Replace if necessary.
Check the charger cord condition.
Check tires for wear and obstructions.
Have your authorized service center check your
WheelChair Mover completely.
