Installing the optical drive
Prerequisites
NOTE:
Only slim 9.5-mm SATA DVD-ROM drive or DVD+/-RW drive can be installed in your system. External optical
drives can be connected through USB ports.
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure that is listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Open the PSU assembly.
Steps
1. Align and push the optical drive into the slot until the release tab snaps into place.
2. Connect the power cable and the data cable to the optical drive.
NOTE:
Route the cables properly to prevent them from being pinched or crimped.
