Installing the system board
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure that is listed in Before working inside your system.
Steps
1. Unpack the new system board assembly.
NOTE:
Do not lift the system board by holding a memory module, processor, or other components.
NOTE: Ensure to remove the serial port screws from the replacement system board.
CAUTION: Take care not to damage the system identification button while placing the system board into the chassis.
2. Holding the system board by its edges, incline the system board at an angle and align the ports on the system board with the slots on
the system, and lower the system board into the system.
3. Tighten the screws to secure the serial port.

4. Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver secure the system board to the chassis with screws.
