The Replace Master MDM window is displayed.
2. Select the Slave MDM to which you want to transfer system control.
3. Click OK.
Results
The selected Slave MDM becomes the Master MDM.
Transfer the MDM cluster component using the AMS
Switch an MDM or Tie Breaker (TB) component from one VxFlex Ready Node server
to another.
Before you begin
Before moving the cluster component, both the source and the target servers must be
part of the VxFlex OS system.
About this task
The source is the server from which the MDM or TB will be moved and the target is
the server to which the MDM or TB will be moved. If there is no server in the system
that can accept the role of an MDM or Tie Breaker component, you must add one
before performing this procedure.
Procedure
1. If there is no standby node in the system, add a standby node:
a. Use the VxFlex OS GUI Hardware view to find a server with a non-MDM role.
