Removing the processor

Prerequisites
1. Remove the computer cover.
2. Remove the front bezel.
3. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 6 in “Removing the optical drive”.
4. Remove the memory modules.
5. Remove the fan shroud.
6. Remove the thermal-cooling assembly.
Procedure
1. Locate the processor on the system board.
2. Press the release-lever down and then pull it outwards to release it from the securing tab.
3. Pull up the release-lever completely to unlock the processor.
4. Gently lift the processor and remove it from the processor socket.
