1. Insert the tabs of the battery into the notches on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Slide the battery on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Replace the two screws (M2x3.5) that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4. Replace the captive screw that secures the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
5. Connect the battery cable to the system board.

Removing the coin-cell battery
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
NOTE:
Removing the I/O-board cable is equivalent to removing the coin-cell battery. It resets the settings of the BIOS
setup program to default. It is recommended that you note down the settings of the BIOS setup program before
removing the coin-cell battery.
2. Remove the base cover.
