1. Remove the optical drive.
2. Remove the base cover.
Procedure
1. Remove the screws that secure the battery to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
3. Lift the battery off the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
