a. Carefully disconnect the discrete GPU power cable from its connector on the GPU card.
b. Remove the six screws securing the beam connectors.
c. Remove the 2 (M2.0x5.0) screws that secure the graphics card to the system board.
d. Remove the graphics card from the system.
NOTE: The above procedures are for discrete graphics card. Systems shipped with UMA GPU card do not have GPU
power cable. However, for discrete models shipped with either a 128 MB or 256 MB VRAM GPU card, you need to
disconnect the GPU power cable before removing the GPU card.
Installing the discrete graphics card
1. To install the discrete graphics card:
a. Slide the graphics card into its original position in the system.
b. Replace the 2 (M2.0x5.0) screws to secure the graphics card to the system board.
c. Carefully connect the discrete GPU power cable from its connector on the GPU card.
d. Replace the beam connector.
e. Replace the six screws that secure the beam connectors.
