NOTE: You must install a ller bracket over an empty expansion card slot to maintain Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) certication of the system. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in
proper cooling and airow inside the system.

1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
3. Remove the expansion card riser.
4. If installed, remove the ller bracket.
Steps
1. Locate the expansion card connector on the riser.
2. Holding the expansion card by its edges, position the card so that the card connector aligns with the connector on the
expansion card riser.
3. Insert the card connector into the expansion card riser connector until the card is rmly seated.
