3. To replace DIMM A or DIMM B:
a. Replace the keyboard (see Replacing the Keyboard).
b. Replace the LED cover (see Replacing the LED Cover
).
4. To replace DIMM C or DIMM D:
a. Replace the base assembly cover (see Replacing the Base Assembly Cover
).
5. Follow the procedures in After Working on Your Computer
.
As the computer boots, it detects the additional memory and automatically updates the system configuration
information. To confirm the amount of memory installed in the computer:
In Microsoft® Windows® XP, right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop. Click Properties® General.
In Windows Vista, click Start ® Help and Support® Dell System Information.
