Fan speed in economy mode
The options for setting the fan speed with the control panel depend on the unit. A
distinction is made whether the control panel is connected to a central air handling
unit (compact controls MATRIX 4700) or a decentral unit.
The menu shown by the air handling units depends on the selected type of fan
control. See also the
"Fan submenu" on page 71 in Chapter 7.21.6 Air handling
unit submenu.
Economy mode ➜ fan mode
Four menu options are available in the “Fan mode” menu.
The menu is predefined with “Auto (mute)” as factory setting. This menu item
appears when using the control panel at decentralized devices or if "Temperature
controlled" was selected at central units for the fan-controlled variable.
Economy mode ➜ "Plant/fan"
The menu "Plant\unit" alternatively appears on the menu "Fan mode", in part in
combination with a menu for parameter inputs (see economy mode fan speed, on
Page 60 economy mode supply air or extract-air duct pressure on Page 61, econ-
omy mode supply-air or extract-air volume flow on Page 61). It appears whenever

1 OFF The air handling system is switched off, the room
frost protection function is active.
2 Automatic The fan speed is set automatically by the control
system.

The fan is running in fan mode
"Automatic", but is blocked in the highest speeds or
above 80%.

A fixed fan speed (rpm) can be set in a submenu.
This setting is performed in percent (from 10 to
100%) or at fixed speeds (from 1 to 5) depending on
device configuration.
