Chapter 3 BIOS Setup
Main
The Main menu is the first screen that y ou will see when y ou enter the BIOS Setup Utilit y.
System Date
The date f ormat is <da y>, <month>, <date>, <y ear>. Day displays a da y, from Sun-
da
y to Saturda y. Month displa ys the month, from January to December . Date displa ys
the date, from 1 to 31. Y ear displays the y ear, from 1980 to 2099.
System Time
The time f ormat is <hour>, <minute>, <second>. The time is based on the 24-hour
military
-time clock. F or example, 1 p .m. is 13:00:00. Hour displa ys hours from 00 to
23. Minute displa ys minutes from 00 to 59. Second displa ys seconds from 00 to 59.
AMI BIOS Setup Utility Advanced
The Advanced menu allows y ou to configure y our system f or basic operation. Some entries are
defaults required by the system board, while others, if enabled, will impro ve the perf ormance
of your system or let y ou set some f eatures according to y our preference.
