Grinding & Polishing
If the machine is to be transported by a crane or a fork lift, verify that the lifting
strap(s) has sufficient capacity to support the weight of the machine. The gross
weight is shown in Section 4.1 Unit specifications and also on the serial number
plate on the machine.
Fasten any lifting slings to the lower machine frame. The lower frame is also a
suitable fixing point for fastenings or tie-downs to be used during transportation
of the machine on a vehicle.
When transporting the machine in a vehicle, always drive carefully and in a
manner to avoid the machine shifting. Secure the machine with a tightening load
strap over the lower frame. Use at least two load straps, and tighten down to the
body of the vehicle.
The machine must always be operated in accordance with the instructions given
in Section 5.2 “Initial Operation”.
