13 APPENDIX B: How to automatically add missing covers: PerfectTunes
When you rip a CD with the aria ripper, the aria music server connects to five different databases from
which it downloads the cover art, but occasionally it is not the correct one or its quality is not very good
and you may want to modify it.
This might also happen if you import music from an external or networked device.
PerfectTunes is an application that will try to solve this among other interesting features, replacing with
just one click all the missing or low quality covert art. It also checks lossless tracks for ripping errors and
removes duplicated tracks.
PerfectTunes has been developed by Illustrate, the developers of dbpoweramp.
Install PerfectTunes in a computer in the same local area network and run PerfectTunes Control Center.
Click in [Add Folder] and click in “Network” in the new window. The aria server should appear. Click on it.
If credentials are requested, type in the following:
User: \guest
Password: <leave the password empty>
