4.3 Alarm
Sensor
Users can install multiple sensors on the system to get the pre & post-alarm recording and intensive
recording functions as well.
ON/OFF
Turn on or turn off the sensor input.
CAM
Select the associated camera for the alarm.
RELAY
Select the associated alarm output for serial connection (RS-485).
Relay contacts can stand up to 24V/1A. In cases where it is connected to the external
circuit which is over 24V/1A, it can cause a problem in the system.
PRESET
Set a PTZ camera to move to a preset position when the sensor is triggered. A PTZ camera must be
assigned for the alarm and the preset position must be configured within the camera.
DWELL (Post Alarm)
Set the recording period from when the sensor is activated. During this period, the selected camera
will record according to the record-setting. The recording stops and the alarm output is turned off
when the set period has passed.
PRE-ALARM
Set a recording period in seconds just before a sensor is activated. Input up to 5 seconds. The pre-
alarm recording mode is always “continuous” at the recording speed that the user sets in the
“Record” menu. The recording period will run before triggering the alarm.
TYPE
Select the sensor type as N/O (Normal Open) or N/C (Normal Close). The circuit of a N/O sensor
type is usually open, and the activation of the sensor occurs at the time of close, and the N/C type
works the reverse way.
Check the setting of the sensor type (N/O or N/C). It is recommended to use “Dry Contact
