PathFinder™
PathFinder uses STUN communication to assist with the encryption and stream security between
the viewer and the NVR when connected using DW’s connection service. This connection method
offers an alternative means to view video from the NVR over a remote connection without the need
for port forwarding.
• USE PATHFINDER: Enable this setting to activate the PathFinder service for the NVR. Click
SAVE to apply the changes.
• PATHFINDER ID: A unique 21-character alphanumerical identification number will be
generated for the NVR. This ID can be either used to connect with a web browser
(www.ezpathfinder.com/p2p) or by being manually entered into the DW Mobile Plus mobile
viewing application.
• QR CODE: Users can scan the QR code using the DW Mobile Plus or VMAX Plus mobile
viewing applications to automatically enter the PathFinder ID into the site settings while
registering the NVR within the mobile application.
• STATUS: Users can check the NVR’s PathFinder status at the bottom of the screen.
