ent throttle that is connected to LocoNet or with one of the Jump ports on
the DCS52 (see Section 17.0 for setting up the Jump Ports), leaving the
TOP locomotive selected on the main throttle of the DCS52. Function state
changes will take eect immediately whether or not the loco is moving.
13.0 SWITCH Mode
Switch Mode is used for sending commands
to accessory decoders and for changing Option
Switches (OpSw) on other LocoNet devices. The
most common use of switch mode is for operat-
ing turnouts. The DCS52 remembers the current
switch settings during the session. Switch com-
mands may also be used for controlling Digitrax
compatible signal units.

displayed in the Switch/Info + Area of the display. If 0001 was the last

the B Soft Key will become “Closed”.

14.0 DCS52 Address Management: SLOTMAX
Your DCS52 has a nite number of “slots” available in its memory. The
DCS52 has the capability of selecting 20 addresses at a time. Once the slots
available in your command station are full, the system will display a SLOT
MAX information message and action in the Scrolling Help Text line to let
you know that you need to release some locos if you want to select and run
others. The recall fucntion can be used to select and release recently used locos.
Find details on loco dispatching in section 8.5.
You may also press the reset button on the back of the DCS52 to clear all the
