trol speed and direction of the loco address selected. The DCS52’s Throttle
Knob and Direction Control Lever will continue to control the speed
and direction of the loco selected on the Local Throttle. Speed, direction,
and loco selected info for the other throttles will be shown in the Jump
Throttle Area.
18.0 Customizing DCS52-Option Switch Setup
The Option Switch (OpSw) setup allows you to customize the operation of the
unit to meet your layout and operation preferences. The DCS52’s power up
defaults are ne for most applications and the DCS52 will run “out of the box.”
We have included a few option switches below that you may want to change.

18.1 Changing DCS52 Option Switches
1. See the Option Switch Table below to decide
which option switches you want to change.
2. Press the Menu/Enter Key.
3. Select options 3- Option Switch Setup by
pressing the 3 key.
4. Use the keypad to enter the number of the
OpSw you wish to change.
5. Press the B Soft Key “Closed” or the A
Soft Key “Thrown” to set the option switch
according to the desired change in the OpSw
table. The changes will take immediate
eect.
6. Press the C Soft Key “SAVE” to save the
Option Switch settings. If you do not save the settings the OpSw changes
will not be saved when the unit is powered o.
NOTE: Do not adjust any Op Switches not listed
These option switches are reserved and changing them may cause problems
with your system.
