4.1 Making external telephone calls
4.1.1 Incoming calls
When your telephone rings, lift the receiver and press the handset key
on your phone.
Incoming calls without direct dialling in
If the Direct Dialling In parameter is not activated (see parameter 21),
incoming calls are signalled on lines 1 and 2 according to the call
assignment for the handsets and analogue port.
Incoming calls with active direct dialling in
Incoming calls are accepted by the distybase duo/duo plus/duo exant.
The caller has the option of triggering a signal on the desired handset by
post-dialling the DTMF digits 1-8. If no direct dialling is detected within
ten seconds, the signalling is carried out according to the call
assignment. The analogue port will be reached by post-dialling DTMF
digit 0.
Fax-calls will be forwarded automatically to the assigned fax-subscriber.
Call waiting
If the Call Waiting parameter is activated, an incoming call generates a
call waiting signaltone during an existing call. Call waiting can be
suppressed using
#4
.
Accepting the waiting call and ending the existing call: After
replacing the receiver, the phone will ring again and the waiting call can
be accepted.
Accepting the waiting call and holding or retrieving the
existing call: The current caller is put on hold using
**0
or the INT
key and the waiting call is accepted.
**0
can be used to toggle
between the calls.
Pick up
If another of the handsets rings,
#3
allows you to pick up this call.
Connection take-over from analogue port
On distybase duo plus the handsets can take-over an active connection
from the analogue port by dialling
#7
if the analogue port is not
assigned as fax subscriber.
