Supply Control Valve
Inspection
SCV is solenoid type valve, in which ECU controls
the valve opening and closing time and the pumping
start time. To meet the target rail pressure, pump
fuel amount is controlled by the current supplied to
SCV. When SCV is closed, fuel path is shut so as to
compress the fuel. And then, compressed fuel is
supplied to common rail. If fuel pressure decreases,
SCV opens and fuel is supplied for pumping.
