You must read and understand the warnings and instructions contained in the Safety section of this manual,
before performing any operation or maintenance procedures.
Transmission Oil & Oil Filter –
Change (3 Speed, ZF 3WG94)
See topic, "Transmission Oil & Oil Filter – Change"
in "First 50-100 Service Hours or a Week".
Inspect Ignition System
(LP Engine Only)
1. Disconnect Battery Cables.
2. Remove and inspect the spark plugs. Replace
as required.
3. Test secondary cables with an Ohmmeter. If
maximum resistance is higher than 25 kOhms,
repair and/or replace.
4. Remove distributor cap and perform visual
inspection. Replace cap and rotor if corrosion is
found on the contacts.
5. Inspect the ignition coil for cracks and heat
deterioration. Visually inspect the coil heat sink
fins. If any fins are broken replace as required.
Replace Spark Plugs
(LP Engine Only)
1. Disconnect Battery Cables.
2. Using a gentle twisting motion remove the high
voltage cables from the spark plugs. Replace
any damaged cables.
3. Remove the spark plugs.
4. Gap the new spark plugs to the proper
specifications.
LP Engine: 0.9mm (0.035 inch)
5. Apply anti-seize compound to the spark plug
threads and install.
LP Engine: 30 N∙m (22 lb∙ft)
WARNING
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SPARK PLUGS.
6. Re-install the high voltage cables.
