C. Maintenance
Power switch must be in OFF position before any
maintenance work can be performed!
Service interval indicator
1.1 Yellow LED on power switch side of operator is service
interval indicator. Operator system should be scheduled
for service when yellow LED is first illuminated, or
annually, whichever occurs first. Contact the local Dorma
service company.
1.2 The following standards recommend periodic
maintenance and inspection to ensure compliance:
ANSI/BHMA A156.10-2011 – ANSI standard for power
power operated pedestrian doors
ANSI/BHMA A156.19-2013 – ANSI standard for power
assist and low energy power operated doors
Maintenance
Inspection by Dorma service should include, as a minimum:
2.1 Track (slide channel)
Check for wear.
Check for wear or damage at moving joints.
3.1 Slide shoe
Check for wear and excessive play.
4.1 Track mounting
Check tightness of track mounting screws.
5.1 Standard arm
Check for wear or damage at moving joints.
Check tightness of arm shoe mounting screws.
Check tightness of self-locking screw securing drive arm to
drive axle.
