ED100 / ED250 is supplied with door signs to alert and
instruct pedestrian traffic in operation and function of the
door. For low energy applications, signs are specified in ANSI
A156.19, paragraph 6. Installed signage is based on door
application.
Low Energy doors
All low energy doors shall be marked with following sign visible
from both sides of door:
1. "CAUTION, AUTOMATIC DOOR"
Knowing Act switch initiation of door operator
When a "Knowing act activating device" is used to initiate
operation of door operator, doors shall be provided with
following signs on each side of door where knowing act switch
or other type of device is located:
2. "ACTIVATE SWITCH TO OPERATE"
Decal shall have white lettering on a blue background.
Push / pull initiation of door operator
3. PULL TO OPERATE" sign shall be applied on "pull" side
of door.
Decal shall have white lettering on a blue background.
4. PUSH TO OPERATE" sign shall be applied on "push" side
of door.
Decal shall have white lettering on a blue background.
