3 Safety
This document contains important instructions for safe
operation of the ED100 / ED250.
Door signage information
Proper signs and labels shall be applied and maintained on
door(s) per the following ANSI / BHMA standards:
ANSI/BHMA A156.10-2011: Standard for power operated
pedestrian doors, paragraph 11, signage
ANSI/BHMA A156.19-2013: Standard for power assist and
low energy power operated doors, paragraph 6, signage
Information on door signage can be found in Sections 04 and 05.
Maintenance: If decals have been removed, or cannot
be read, request that labels be replaced when
requesting service call.
Safety
Electric shock hazard! Never place metal objects
into operator openings!
Work on electrical equipment and wiring must be
performed only by qualified electricians!

Residual hazards
After installation, hazards such as minor crushing,
impact with limited force, and risk to unsupervised
children may exist depending on structural design
of door area, type of door, and any safeguards that
have been implemented.

which are manually operated).
