Removing the Engine Oil
BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE, STOP THE ENGINE AND DISCONNECT THE
SPARK PLUG WIRE.
• Manually:
1. Drain the gas from the Fuel Tank.
2. Remove the Oil Filler Cap and position a suitable oil receptacle beside the Oil Fill Tube.
3. Using the handle of the mower, tip the machine to the left and drain the oil out through the Oil Filler
Tube into the suitable receptacle (Figure 11).
4. Replace the oil by following the instructions on page 14.

Alternate Method:
1. Remove the Oil Fill Cap and vacuum the oil from the engine through the Oil Fill Tube using a vacuum
oil drainer.
2. Replace the oil by following the instructions on page 14.
NOTE: If you are not reusing the oil, be sure to use environmentally safe disposal procedures in the disposing of
the used oil.
