TO IDENTIFY MONITOR TYPES/STATES AT THE ICS
The following symbol appears in the header bar of the viewport and
BedView when in wireless mode:
When the patient is on an M300 the following symbol appears in
the header bar of the viewport, BedView and M300 screen:
TO PLACE AN M300 PATIENT IN STANDBY MODE*
1. Select the patient name or bed label from the Main screen
viewport (Click directly on the patient’s name or bed label).
2. Select the Standby/Discharge tab.
3. Select the standby On button.
4. Select the reason for standby form the selection list.
5. Select the duration you wish to place the patient in standby.
6. Select Apply.
- For a bedside monitored patient, this must be completed at
the bedside monitor.
Caution: ALL monitoring is suppressed in Standby mode (including
alarms) at the ICS and at the monitor, even if waveforms are dis-
played.
TO CANCEL STANDBY MODE FOR AN M300 PATIENT
1. Open the BedView page by selecting the viewport of the te-
lemetry patient on the ICS Main screen.
2. Once in Bedview, the following banner in the waveform area
appears: “Standby Select here to resume monitoring”. Click
anywhere in the Bedview to cancel Standby mode.
OR
3. To complete at the M300: press the View key on the patient’s
M300.
