XT aktivieren
● Zündschlüssel in das Zündschloss stek-
ken und auf Stellung "Zündung" drehen.
Ein Selbsttest wird durchgeführt und die
Vorwärmphase beginnt.
— Während des Vorwärmens erscheint in
der Anzeige die Meldung » Aufwärmen
BITTE WARTEN «.
— Ein Signalton, das Blinken der gelben
Lampe und die Meldung » Bereit für Test
BITTE BLASEN « zeigen an, dass das
Gerät messbereit ist.
Atemprobe abgeben
● Handgerät von der Halterung nehmen.
1 Eventuell ein neues Mundstück in die ent-
sprechende Öffnung einsetzen.
2 Dabei auf richtige Orientierung der Kerbe
achten.
● Gleichmäßig in das Mundstück blasen,
solange ein kontinuierlicher Signalton
ertönt
oder
● Ist der Manipulationsschutz (Blasen/
Saugen) aktiviert:
● Gleichmäßig in das Mundstück blasen,
solange ein kontinuierlicher Signalton
ertönt, und anschließend (der Signalton
stoppt und man hört ein "Klick") sofort
ohne Unterbrechung kräftig aus dem
Mundstück saugen, bis ein kurzer Signal-
ton ertönt.

● Insert key into ignition switch and turn to
position "Ignition". A selftest is carried out
and the warming-up phase starts.
— During warming up, the message
» Warming Up PLEASE WAIT « is shown
in the display.
— A signal tone, blinking of the yellow light
and the message » Ready for Test
PLEASE BLOW « show that the instru-
ment is ready for measurement.
Providing a Breath Sample
● Remove handset from its holster.
1 Eventually insert a new mouthpiece into
the respective opening.
2 Make sure the notch is positioned in the
correct orientation.
● Blow evenly into the mouthpiece as long
as a continuous tone sonds
or
● If the anti-circumvention mode is activated
(Blow/Suck):
● Blow evenly into the mouthpiece as long
as a continuous signal tone sounds, fol-
lowed immediately (the signal tone
ceases and you may hear a "click") with-
out pause by a suck until a short signal
tone sounds.
