Operation with external DC supply
Voltage fluctuations in on-board supplies can be signifi-
cant, e.g. due to varying load conditions. They may
exceed the input tolerances specified for Oxylog 2000.
The DC/DC converter conditions these types of DC
power sources to provide a constant voltage of
approximately 12 V DC.
● Attach cigarette lighter adapter plug to on-board
DC power source, plug other end into external DC
input jack on top of ventilator.
DC converter operation in combination with ventilator
mount bracket:
● Plug angled connector into Oxylog external DC
input jack. Attach cigarette lighter adapter plug to
an on-board socket.
Connecting DC/DC converter to on-board supply
without cigarette lighter adapter
NOTE: The following procedure to be performed by
a qualified technician only.
Cut the on-board cable to required length. Remove ca-
pacitor from the cigarette lighter adapter plug and rein-
stall to connect positive and negative cable leads.
(Capacitor is needed for continued immunity of con-
verter against electromagnetic interference.)
Connect cable leads to on-board supply with correct
polarity:
red = positive
blue = negative
CAUTION !
Always use DC/DC converter 84 12 071 when
using a DC source.
