O2 concentration:
Air Mix ≈ 60 % O2 by vol.**
or
No Air Mix = 100 % O2 by vol.
NOTE: Due to the physical properties of the injector used
for mixing the applied tidal volume VT is reduced in case
of high airway pressure in air mix mode.
● Increase the tidal volume VT in accordance with the
measured minute ventilation MV.
5 ON/OFF switch set to I.
Display:
When the patient is connected:
● Check displayed minute ventilation MV and adjust
settings to suit the patient.
The following display appears if expiratory minute
ventilation is less than 1 L/min:
6 Read maximum airway pressure Paw on the pressure
gauge.
2 Set »Pmax« knob to approx. 10 cmH2O higher than
the maximum airway pressure.
If the airway pressure in the range of settings between
20 and 60 cmH2O exceeds the maximum airway
pressure »Pmax«, the ventilator immediately switches to
expiration to protect the patient and displays the warning
message:
The set tidal volume VT cannot be fully applied!
