If airway pressures are too high and there is a
"Paw high" alarm:
● Check tube position.
● Check patient airways, suction if necessary.
● Verify that ventilation circuit is not kinked.
To clear alarm message from the screen:
1 Press »g Reset« key.
2 Observe pressure gauge.
Applying PEEP
3 Set »PEEP« knob to required value and check result
on pressure gauge.
The range of PEEP values higher than 10 cmH2O is
mechanically protected. To override the stop:
● Push back metal pin in dial scale while turning the
knob pointer over the pin.
Perform the same when returning to PEEP values
below 10 cmH2O.
For cardiopulmonary resuscitation
When applying cardiac massage for adult patients with
the aid of an assistant:
4 Set »Rate« knob to ª = 12 breaths per minute.
5 Set »Pmax« knob to ª = pressure limited to
80 cmH2O.
Display:
6 Press »g Reset« to clear display.
The airway pressure is limited to max. 80 cmH2O without
interrupting inspiration prematurely (ventilation with
limited pressure).
A single beep advises that pressure limitation is active.
Pmax= 80 cmH2O CPR
WARNING !
Observe pressure gauge in order to quickly
identify improper ventilation. Operator must
always be ready to avert danger to the patient.
