MANUAL ADJUSTMENT CRANK
Emergency Crank Manual Adjustment (Power Outage)
Using the Emergency Crank
Use the emergency crank to make the adjustments if the Full Electric (15005LP) or Semi-electric (15004P) bed
needs to be adjusted manually due to a power outage or an electronic malfunction.
The Emergency crank is usually stored in the link fabric of the bed deck. If you do not nd the emergency
crank, contact your provider.
WARNING: Emergency Manual Adjustment Crank MUST BE REMOVED before the 15005LP bed is used.
Failure to remove the crank may cause damage to the bed and/or personal injury to those in the room.
1. Remove the emergency crank from the bed deck under the mattress.
2. From the Foot Board end of the bed, locate the exposed shaft connection of the motor according to the
function you want to perform.
3. Attach the emergency crank to A (Head Section motor), B (Hi/Lo Motor), or C (Foot Section Motor)
connection point.
NOTE: The 15005LP Hi/Lo Hand Crank can be operated in two locations: directly into the Head or Foot board
gear box or from the top of the Foot Board access port.
4. To raise and lower the entire bed on 15005LP full electric models in the low height position, open cover on
the top of the foot board and insert crank.
NOTE: Push in the emergency crank while turning in the desired clockwise or counter clockwise direction.
WARNING: Manual Emergency Adjustment Cranks MUST BE REMOVED before the bed is used. Failure to
remove the crank may cause damage to the bed and/or personal injury to those in the room.
