TOO MUCH FROTHING –
WHAT TO DO?
Allow the beer keg to rest for around
two hours before tapping into it.
Allow the beer keg to rest for at least an
hour after tapping into and connecting
it.
Allow the beer to cool down suciently.
Warm beer tends to produce a large
amount of froth.
Rinse out the glasses with cold, clear
water before each glass of beer you
draw.
Always open the tap fully so that the
beer can flow without being impeded
and does not froth up.
Hold the glass at an angle under the tap
and let the beer run down the wall of
the glass.
Do not immerse the tap in the beer.
In spite of all measures, it is normal for the
beer to produce a lot of froth when the first
few glasses are poured after tapping into
the keg.
AFTER USE
Rinsing Through the Beer Hose
If no beer is drawn overnight or for a long
period of time, the beer hose(22) must be
rinsed through, even when a beer keg is
inserted (see the “Cleaning” chapter).
1. Flip the On / Off switch (4) to position 0
to switch off the device.
2. Pull the mains plug out of the plug
socket.
3. Open the lid (2).
4. Only disconnect the beer hose from
the valve unit(16)! To do this, press
the white button on the valve(17) of
the beer line (PictureL) and pull out the
connecting piece.
With a fresh keg, only press together
the fresh keg adapter on the sides
(PictureU2) and pull it off the valve!
5. Remove the beer hose from the device
(see the “Preparing the Device” chapter
– “Tapping Into and Connecting the Beer
Keg”) and clean it (see the “Cleaning”
chapter).
6. Wipe down the tap(10) with a wet
sponge or cloth.
7. Reconnect the beer keg.
8. Plug the mains plug into a plug socket.
9. Flip the On / Off switch to position I to
switch on the device.
Emptying the Beer Keg and CO
2
Cartridge
1. Place a suitable vessel under the tap(10).
The size of the vessel is dependent on the
amount of beer remaining in the keg.
2. Open the tap and allow the rest of the
beer to drain away.
3. Flip the On / Off switch (4) to position 0
to switch off the device.
4. Pull the mains plug out of the plug
socket.
5. Open the lid (2) by pressing the release
button (1).
6. To make sure that the CO
2
cartridge is
completely empty, use a flat screwdriver
to open up the venting screw on the
base of the cartridge holder (PictureV,
back fold-out page). If you do not hear
any hissing, the cartridge is empty.
7. Tighten the venting screw shut again.
Changing the Beer Keg / Disconnect-
ing it from the Device
Please Note!
Never remove the dispensing unit from
the keg when it is not empty and is still
pressurised! Fully empty the beer keg
beforehand.
1. Make sure that the device is switched
off (switch position0).
2. Open the lid (2).
