PREPARING THE BEER KEG
• It can take up to 15 hours for beer at a
temperature of 22 – 24°C to cool down
to 3 – 12°C in the device. What is more,
a difference in temperature from the
ambient temperature of no more than
20°C can be achieved inside the device.
This is why on hot days in particular a
beer keg should be cooled in the fridge
first. This also allows you to have a sec-
ond beer keg on hand ready to be used
immediately.
• After a beer keg has been transported,
allow it to rest for around two hours be-
fore you vent and tap into it to prevent
excessive frothing.
• Vent a beer keg before the seal plug
is removed. This prevents excessive
amounts of froth escaping from the
ventilation opening.
Before the beer keg can be tapped into, the
plug must be removed.
Beer Kegs with Rubber Plugs
If the beer keg has a rubber plug, simply pull
it out.

2. Allow the beer keg to rest for a mo-

2. Remove the plug with the associat-

(PictureT2). PLEASE NOTE: The plug
which drops into the beer has no effect
on the taste and is harmless to health.
3. Insert the universal adapter that is also
supplied into the keg.
Fresh Keg
The fresh keg has an integrated valve on
the top of the keg. No seal plug needs to be
removed.
