Door Chime Feature
The door chime fe ature is used, whil e the panel is disarmed, to provid e a tone from the keyp ad e ach
time a door or window is opened or close d. The doors and windows which will provi de this indi cation
are programmed by your installer.
To activate the door chime from an LED Keypad:
Enter [✱][4] to turn the door chime fe ature O N and O F F. When the command is entere d, the keyp a d
buzzer will b ee p 3 times if the door chime fe ature is ena ble d and will sound one long bee p if it is
disa bled. Press [#] to return to the Ready state.
To activate the door chime from an LCD Keypad:
Start with the p anel in the disarmed mod e, press [✱] to enter the function list, then scroll to find...
Press [✱] or [4] to enable or disa ble the Door C hime feature. Press [#] to return to
the Ready state.

Keypad Buzzer Control
There are 21 different keyp a d sound er tones avail a ble for the Power832 keyp ads. From an L C D
keyp a d, enter [
✱][6] [Master cod e], then use the arrow (< >) keys to scroll to the messag e “ Keypad
Buzzer C ontrol.” Press [✱] to sel ect the option. Use the arrow (< >) keys to scroll to the d esire d buz z er
sound. Press [#] to exit. This fe ature can be accessed from an LE D keypad by pressing and holding
the [
✱] key.
LCD Keypads Only
Language Selection
The displaye d langua g e of the keypa d c an b e chang e d by pressing and holding both of the arrow (< >)
keys simultaneously. This will cause the keypa d to enter the Langua ge Selection mod e. Scroll to the
desired languag e and press the [
✱] key. This will select the new languag e and restart the keyp ad.
The following three options are accessed by entering [
✱
] [6] [Master code]. Use the arrow (< >)
keys to scroll to the appropriate message and press [
✱
] to select.
Brightness Control
When this option is sele cted, the keypad will allow you to scroll through 10 different backlighting
levels. Use the arrow (< >) keys to scroll to the desire d b a cklighting l evel and press the [#] key to exit.
Contrast Control
When this option is selecte d, the keyp a d will allow you to scroll through 10 different LC D display contrast
levels. Use the arrow (< >) keys to scroll to the desire d contrast level and press the [#] key to exit.
View Event Buffer
The panel will store the last 128 events which occurre d on the system. To vi ew the event buffer, sel e ct
the “ View Event Buffer” prompt from the user functions list. The keyp a d will displ ay the event number,
partition, time and date of each event. To toggle to the event name, press the [
✱] key. Use the arrow (<
>) keys to scroll through all of the events in the buffer. When you have finished viewing the events,
press [#] to exit.
Downloading Enable
To enabl e a six-hour downloading window from any system keyp ad, enter [✱] [6] [Master code] [5].
During this time, the panel will answer incoming downloading calls. For more information, ple ase ask
your installer.
