Alternate Arming Methods
Away Arming
Arming the system in the Away mode will have all interior zones and perimeter zones a ctive. If motion
is d ete cte d in the interior zones, or if one of the p erimeter zones is viol ated, the alarm sequence will
be gin. To arm in the Away mode, enter your ac c ess cod e and exit the premises through a designate d
Exit/Entry door. The system will recogni z e that occupants have l eft the premises. Onc e the exit d el ay
expires, the system will be fully armed.
Audible Exit Fault
In an attempt to reduce false al arms, the Audi bl e Exit Fault is designe d to notify you of an improper
exit when arming the system in the Away mod e. In the event that you fail to exit the premises during
the allotte d exit d elay period, or if you do not se curely close the Exit/Entry door, the system will notify
you that it was improperly armed in two ways: the keypad will emit one continuous be e p and the bell or
siren will sound. If this oc curs, you must re-enter the premises, enter your ac c ess cod e to disarm the
system, and then follow the arming procedure ag ain, making sure to exit the premises in the proper
fashion.
Stay Arming
This feature, if enable d by your installer, will allow you to arm the p erimeter zones whil e l e aving the
interior zones ina ctive so that you c an remain on the premises whil e the system is armed. When you
enter your se curity cod e to arm the system and
do not
exit the premises through a desi gnated Exit/
Entry door, the system will arm in the Stay mod e, automatic ally bypassing the interior zones.
The interior zones can be re a ctivate d at any time by entering [
][1] at any keyp a d. If you re a ctivate
the interior zones, be sure to only inhabit are as not covere d by motion d ete ctors. To a c c ess are as
prote cted by motion sensors, you must enter your security code and disarm the system.
Arming Without Entry Delay
If you wish to arm your system without the entry delay, enter [][9] then your acc ess cod e. The Armed
light will fl ash as a reminder that the system is armed and has no entry del ay. An entry through any
zone programme d as a del ay zone will cre ate an instant al arm.
Quick Arm
When the Q uick Arm feature is ena bled, the system may be armed by simply pressing [][0] inste ad of
your a c c ess cod e. Pl e ase note that pressing [][0] will only allow you to arm the system; to disarm,
you must enter a valid acc ess cod e. Your installer will inform you if the Qui ck Arm feature has been
enable d on your system.
Auto Arming
Your system can be programmed to automati c ally arm itself ac cording to a programmed sche dul e.
Auto arming is programme d by p artition. Thus, all auto arm programming must be p erforme d from a
keyp a d assigne d to the p artition you wish to program.
To program the auto arm time, enter [
][6] followed by your master cod e. Press [3]. Enter the time
using the military format (HH MM).
To ena ble or disable the auto arm fe ature, enter [
][6] followe d by your master cod e. Press [2] to
either ena ble or disabl e the fe ature. The keypad will bee p 3 times if the fe ature is O N and once if it is
O F F.
NOTE: The correct system time and date must be programmed in order for the auto arm feature
to function properly. Please see “Setting the System Date and Time” on page 13 for instructions.
