If An Alarm Sounds
Fire Alarm
If your system has been install ed with fire detectors and the alarm sounds in a pulsing mode, follow
your emerg ency evacuation pl an immediately (see “ Fire Escape Planning” on pa g e 15).
Intrusion Alarm
If an intrusion alarm sounds, indi cated by a continuous bell or siren, the alarm may be sil enc ed by
entering your access code. If the al arm was unintentional, c all local authoriti es immediately to avoid an
unne c essary response.
You c an determine the sourc e of the alarm by following the instructions in the “ Disarming” section (se e
pa g e 6). O nce the sourc e of the alarm has b een corre cted, the panel can be restored to its original
Armed state.
Function Keys
Ea ch keyp a d has five function keys, loc ate d to the right of the number pad, whi ch allow e asy single-
button a ctivation of the most commonly use d features.
If these keys have b e en ena ble d by your
installer
, you c an execute their programme d function by pressing and holding the corresponding key
for two se conds.
For information re g arding the operation of the function keys, talk to your al arm installer.
Programming Security Codes
Programming codes from an LED Keypad:
The Master Code
To program the Master C ode, enter [
✱][5][current Master C ode][40][new Master C ode]. The Master
Cod e must be four digits unless otherwise indicate d by your installer. Enter digits 0 through 9 only.
Press [#] to return to the Re ady state.
Be sure to re cord your new Master C ode on the “ System Information” page in this booklet. NOTE: We
recommend that the factory default Master Code [1234] not be used.
Additional Codes
Up to 32 additional acc ess codes (01 through 32) may be programmed.
To program a new code:
Enter [✱][5][Master C ode][code numb er 01 to 32][new a c c ess cod e]. The cod e numb er is a double di git
from 01 to 32. Ac c ess codes must be four digits unl ess otherwise indic ated by your installer. Enter
di gits 0 through 9 only. Press [#] to return to the Ready state.
If an access cod e alre a dy exists for the code number you have sel e cte d, it will be repla c ed by the new
code. Be sure to re cord your new code(s) on the “ System Information” p a ge in this book.
To erase a code:
Enter [✱][5][Master C ode][code number 01 to 32][✱]. Press [#] to return to the Ready state. Do not
erase the Master code.
