Access Codes
Ac c ess C odes are used to arm and disarm the system. There are 33 acc ess cod es availa bl e: one
Master C ode and 32 acc ess codes.
Only the Master Code can be use d to program a d ditional se curity codes and to chang e other system
fe atures as well as to arm and disarm the se curity system. The Master C od e will be sup plied to you by
your installer. All keypa d entries are ma d e by pressing one key at a time.
All acc ess codes can be programmed by following the procedure outline d in Programming Se curity
Codes on page 7.
NOTE: An access code can be a four or six digit number depending on how your installer has
programmed your system. Ask your installer for more information regarding access codes.
Arming the System
Arming from an LED Keypad:
If the Ready li ght is O N, the system is re a dy for arming. If the Re ady light is O F F, che ck to se e that all
doors and windows are closed and that motion is stopped in are as covered by motion dete ctors. The
system cannot be armed unless the Re ady light is O N indi c ating that all zones are closed and the
system is in the Ready state.
Enter your ac c ess cod e. As each di git is entere d, the keyp ad sounder will be e p. If the a c c ess code
was entere d incorrectly, the keypad buz z er will sound steadily for two seconds. If this occurs, press
the [#] key and re-enter your ac c ess cod e. If the corre ct a c c ess code is entere d, the keyp a d sound er
will b ee p quickly and the Armed li ght will come O N. Exit the premises through the door indi cated by
your install er as the Exit/Entry door.
The panel will provide an exit del ay p eriod, indi c ate d by keyp ad beeps, for you to exit the premises
without causing an alarm. At the end of the exit delay period, all keypad lights, exc ept the Armed light,
will turn O F F and the system will be armed. The exit delay time can be chang e d by your install er.
Arming from an LCD Keypad:
When this message a pp e ars, one or more zones are not secure d. To se cure the
system, close all doors and windows and c e ase all motion in are as covere d by
motion dete ctors.
When this messa ge appe ars, use the arrow (< >) keys to verify that the system is
cle ar of troubles and that no zones are byp asse d unintentionally (se e Viewing
Trouble Conditions on page 12 and Zone Bypassing on pag e 11).
If this display is showing, the system is in the Ready state and may b e fully armed.
To arm the system, enter your a cc ess code.
Onc e the corre ct a c c ess code has b een entere d, the display will be as shown. The
panel will provide an exit del ay p eriod, also indic ated by keyp a d b ee ps, for you to
exit the premises without causing an alarm. Exit through the door indi c ate d by your
installer as the Exit/Entry door.
This message will b e displ aye d onc e the exit del ay expires and the system is fully
armed.
If this message appears, be aware of which zones are bypasse d and why (se e
Zone Byp assing on p a ge 11). NOTE: If you arm the system with a zone
bypassed or with a trouble present, your security protection is reduced.
