Chapter 6 Optional accessories
6.1 Transformer
For loads that are sensitive to common mode voltages (Neutral to Earth) the
installation of a special transformer to the output will reduce the Neutral-to Ground
voltage to less than 1V. The installation of a special transformer to the input
will avoid triplen harmonics in the power system and reduce disturbances, thus
preventing the load devices from disturbing other devices connected to the power
system. It is recommended to connect the transformer to the input or output
according to special application requirements.

6.2 Temperature Sensor
Increased battery temperature will reduce battery life. A temperature sensor
can be used to detect the temperature change, enabling the temperature
compensation function of charge voltage. The battery charge voltage will be
adjusted automatically to prolong battery life.
6.3 IP21 Option
EDX 60~80KVA Series UPS have a perforated top for ventilation. The installation
of an optional hood increases the protection to IP21.
