Description Information Corrective Action
Display failure. After selecting any key, the whole display
remains dark or the display is defective.
Check the following issues:
Is the supply voltage connected? This is the case
when the System LED is illuminated.
Is the environmental temperature within the allowed
range?
Try to adjust (increase / decrease) the contrast of the
display by using PowerPort-E.
If all these checks do not yield any results, send the
device back to the manufacturer.
The Self-Supervision Contact has opened. An open Self-Supervision Contact indicates that
no protection functions are active (anymore).
In general, the Self-Supervision Contact is closed only
during normal operation (and with active protection
functions), and this is also indicated by the System LED
shining in green color, or 󰊠ashing red+green. See also
╚═▷ “3 System LED Signals”.
Check whether there is an obvious cause, e. g.
outage of power supply.
Check whether the device is booting, or has been
started into the special Bootloader mode. (In these
cases the Self-Supervision Contact gets intentionally
opened.)
If these mentioned reasons can be excluded the device
has detected a severe internal fault, that could not
be solved by an automatic restart. Since no protection
functions are being active it is strongly recommended to
replace the device by a new one as soon as possible, and
the device should be sent back to the manufacturer for a
detailed fault analysis.
Failure of a relay output. The physical status does not match the reported
state, as it is being shown via HMI or PowerPort-
E.
Check the following issues:
Is the output in latched state? If yes, acknowledge
(reset) the latching.
Is the inverting parameter »Inverting« set to “Active”
for the particular output?
Check the wiring.
