Nominal DC currents in the hipot function
This section only concerns the units RXS56/506, DXS56/506, SXS56/506 (units provided with the
standard DC option).
Definition of the nominal DC current
Given a configured test voltage Uc, the nominal DC current is defined as the output current above which
the device can no longer regulate its output voltage to Uc ±ΔU (ΔU = 10V when the configured test
voltage Uc ≤ 1000V, and ΔU = 20V when Uc > 1000V).
When the device can not regulate its output voltage to Uc, according to the criteria described above, the
red DEL « BAD » on the front side of the device is turned on, and the message « VOLTAGE ERROR »
appears on the screen.

Nominal current vs configured test voltage for XS 50VA devices
The nominal current In was measured with a multi-meter set on true RMS mode (AC+DC),
which means that

being the average value of the nominal current and

the RMS value of the AC part of the nominal current).
Warning! The current values displayed on the XS screen slightly differ from the true RMS
values of the ouput current.
The voltage values used to determine the In currents are the ones displayed by the XS.
