OFTWARE UPGRADE OPTIONS
Software upgrades may be made available to users of the DTVPal DVR,
either to add new features or fix issues with existing ones. It is possible to
upgrade the software in your DTVPal DVR using the USB 2.0 or Ethernet
connections on the rear panel. A software upgrade does not affect existing
recordings and cannot be performed when recording is active.
Follow the on-screen instructions and never turn your DTVPal DVR off while a
software download or update is taking place. This process can take as long as
5 minutes to complete, after which the DTVPal DVR will restart and refresh its
Program Guide information.
Upgrading via USB
Go to www.dtvpal.com to get the latest version of DTVPal DVR software and
for more details on how to use this feature.
Upgrading via Ethernet
Simply connect your DTVPal DVR to your broadband home network using an
Ethernet connection and once your DTVPal DVR is in standby (the green
front-panel light is out), it will automatically download the latest compatible
software within an hour. An immediate download can be forced by pressing
MENU, selecting Setup, Broadband, and then Software Update. For more
