8 Description and rectification of malfunctions
The dosing dispenser is subject to regulatory requirements (applicable to area of EU:
Maschinen- Richtlinie, ElektroG, BatterieG).
Therefore you should not attempt doing any repairs yourself, but contact your dealer.
Y
ou may possibly be able to rectify some breakdowns.
Fault description Cause Remedy
LED alternately blinks red
and blue.
Square and round button
was pressed accidentally
(e.g. while inserting the
batteries).
Perform a reset. To do this, remove a
battery, then press down on the
square (ON OFF) button and hold it
down until the removed battery is
reinserted.
Defective electronics.
Please contact vendor.
Red LED is blinking (after
inserting new batteries).
Batteries are not correctly
inserted / twisted.
Check position of batteries, carefully
check polarity
.
Dispenser is not dosing.
Canister is empty.
Insert new canister (see
Ä

on page 34).
Pump hose is kinked. Check hose and rectify kink, if
possible.
Pump hose is sticking to
the canister wall (when
bottle is almost empty).
Examine and position hose in centre
of canister
, possible replace canister

Wrong medium (high
viscosity).
Examine medium for suitability.
Dispenser dosing quantity is
too much.
Use more fluid medium. Set to highest dosing level (see
Ä

on page 27).
Set to dosing level 1 =
approx. 1.6 ml.
Set to dosing level 2 = approx. 3.2 ml

Pump runs sluggishly. Pump in use for more than
6 months.
Replace pump (possibly every 3-4
months) (see

Use more fluid medium. Examine medium for suitability.
Sensor is not working,
although hand is being held
under the sensor
.
Hand held down too low
. Bring hand closer to sensor.
Triggering distance needs
to be adjusted.
Recalibrate sensor (see

calibration’ on page 37).
Defective sensor/
electronics.
Please contact vendor.
Difficulty completely closing
dispenser
.
Key is still in lock.
Remove key.
Hose is kinked. Install hose accurately.
