Starting the Configuration Program
Start the CMDN configuration program by typing:
CD\CMDN
CMDN
The opening screen, shown below, requests a 1 to 8 character project
name, which is used as the filename for all files relating to this project.
If a project name has been previously entered, typing in the project
name will open its files, and the next two steps will be skipped.

Enter Project Name : _________
Project Name: (8 char max) is used to identify a specific project.
Alphanumeric characters - no spaces.
Project Description: (20 char max) provides a description of the project.
Type: defines the fire panel model associated with this project.
The first time a filename has been entered, a project description may be
entered. This information appears on all project configuration reports.
Press the ENTER key to bypass this step. The project description
screen follows:

The type of host system to which the CMDN will be connected is
entered using the respective index number, as shown on the Next
screen. Enter a “1” or “2” for Class A or Class B FCC systems,
respectively. Enter a “3” when configuring the annunciator for IRC-3
(or FCC/PCPU) data line operation, and a “4” when configuring the
annunciator for use with an LSS4 panel.
